Security Experts to Educate Orlando Leaders on 9/11


ORLANDO, FL--(Marketwired - September 08, 2016) - Security professionals from around the world will gather for a seminar on community preparedness and prevention. Given the recent violent events in Orlando and around the world, ASIS International is leading the charge to help communities become safer and more resilient. This FREE program will help educate small business owners, community leaders and those responsible for securing Orlando's organizations on the importance of security and prevention planning.

The seminar is held in conjunction with ASIS 2016, the collocated (ISC) 2 Security Congress and InfraGard's 20th anniversary Congress and Conference, which is expected to draw 20,000 cybersecurity and security management professionals from around the globe.

In addition to the seminar on Sunday, there will be free education and training for active duty law enforcement, first responders and military on Wednesday, Sept. 14. ASIS also held a short essay competition in Orlando and the winning school (Lake Brantley High School) will receive $22,000 for security upgrades. The award ceremony and check presentation will be on Friday, September 9 at Lake Brantley.
