Presentation to Focus on the New Paradigm of Software-Defined Advanced Data-Centric Security & Availability

ORLANDO, FL--(Marketwired - Oct 5, 2015) - GARTNER SYMPOSIUM/ITxpo - Security First Corp., the industry leader in software-defined data-centric security technology, announced today that the company's President and Chief Executive Officer Mark O'Hare will share his insight at the Gartner Symposium/ITxpo® on the new paradigm of data security -- protecting data at the bit level. Together with Gartner Consulting's Senior Managing Partner, Harvey Stotland, O'Hare will discuss how software-defined advanced data-centric security is the next layer of security beyond traditional network solutions and what this technology offers to chief information officers and senior IT executives. The session will be held at the Pacific Hall of the Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel in Theatre B from 6:30 to 6:50 p.m. on Wednesday, October 7.

"Securing data beyond today's traditional perimeter-based and access-control solutions is made possible through SPx™ Technology," said O'Hare. "This is the new standard for data security that goes beyond traditional solutions. By providing an additional layer that protects data at the bit level, SPx Technology is able to deliver data confidentiality, privacy, integrity and high availability; all while meeting and exceeding regulatory compliance requirements."

O'Hare has more than 30 years of security related experience in which he has led multi-million dollar commercial and government security, and engineering programs. He has co-authored 268 issued, granted or pending patents in the area of data-centric security, high availability and disaster recovery.

During the presentation, O'Hare and Stotland will provide an in-depth look into how enterprise data can be secured beyond today's traditional solutions by embracing software-defined protection. By examining the current state of data security, they will also share ways to embrace multiple cloud-based storage services while improving performance, availability and reliability that is needed today. Mark O'Hare will also be available to discuss the technology at Security First's event booth #1126.
