SELEX Intends to Use Security IP of Intrinsic-ID

Bringing a New Level of Anti-Tamper, Anti-Cloning and Reverse Engineering Protection to Secure Government Applications

EINDHOVEN, THE NETHERLANDS--(Marketwire - Oct 4, 2012) - SELEX Elsag, a Finmeccanica company and Intrinsic-ID, a leading provider of security IP solutions, today announced SELEX's intent to use security IP cores of Intrinsic-ID in projects and applications where high levels of anti-tamper, anti-cloning and protection against reverse engineering are required.

To address these requirements the security IP cores of Intrinsic-ID are based on Hardware Intrinsic Security™ (HIS). In HIS secret keys are extracted like a silicon biometric or fingerprint from physical properties of the chip and only when needed; they are not stored so attackers have nothing to find.

SELEX Elsag, after a careful analysis of security IP offerings on the market, selected the security IP cores of Intrinsic-ID because of their superior level of security and their product maturity.

"We will be delighted to start a cooperation with SELEX Elsag, a market leader in terms of security products," said Pim Tuyls, CEO at Intrinsic-ID. "This is a clear endorsement for our HIS-based products into applications demanding the highest levels of security."
