Selwyn Resources Receives Permits for All-Season Road Access to Selwyn Project

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - June 19, 2008) - Selwyn Resources Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:SWN) ("Selwyn" or the "Company") is pleased to inform shareholders that it has received notice from Mackenzie Valley Land and Water Board ("MVLWB") that it intends to issue the necessary Land Use Permit ("LUP") and Water Licence for the rehabilitation and use of the existing all-season access road to the Selwyn Project in the Yukon Territory. The access road connects the Selwyn Project directly to the existing Nahanni Range Road that services North American Tungsten Corporation Ltd.'s operations at the Cantung mine, and connects to the Robert Campbell Highway. The Robert Campbell and Nahanni Range roads are key parts of the Yukon highway system that is maintained by the Yukon government.

The all-season access road was constructed between 1976-1980 and used by previous operators up until the mid 1990's. The issuance of the LUP and Water Licence will allow Selwyn to undertake the necessary work to rehabilitate the existing running surface of the road and update bridges and culverts up to current environmental standards; thereby once again allowing all-season road access to the Selwyn Project for the transport of heavy equipment and supplies.

Dr. Harlan Meade, President and CEO comments, "The re-development of this all-season access road firmly establishes infrastructure linkage to the Selwyn Project. The all-season road access will allow Selwyn Resources to significantly reduce the cost of advancing the project."

Selwyn's focus is the exploration and development of the Selwyn Project in the Yukon as Canada's next major zinc-lead mine. The known deposits have large resources of zinc and lead with the potential for large scale production and the provision of a strategic supply of metals needed to feed industrial growth in the Pacific Region for decades to come.

This press release may contain forward-looking statements concerning the issuance of permits and mineralization at the Selwyn Project. These forward-looking statements are based on assumptions and judgments of management regarding future events or results that may prove to be inaccurate as a result of future events, exploration and other risk factors beyond Selwyn's control. Accordingly, actual results may differ materially from the expected results. Additional drilling is required to confirm the potential of the resources at the Selwyn Project. There is no assurance that additional resources will be defined or that the resources being defined can be developed as an economically attractive mine, and there are many uncertainties associated with permitting and other factors that could delay such development.

The TSX Venture Exchange has not reviewed and does not accept responsibility for the adequacy of this news release.
