SEMAFO to Release 2011 Fourth Quarter and Year-End Financial Results on March 14, 2012

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - March 6, 2012) - SEMAFO (TSX:SMF)(OMX:SMF) today announced that the Corporation's fourth quarter and year-end financial and operational results for the period ended December 31, 2011 will be released after TSX market open on Wednesday, March 14, 2012. The financial statements will be available on the Corporation's website at www.semafo.com or at www.sedar.com.

SEMAFO will host a conference call to discuss the results, as well as to provide an update on operations.
