Semaphore Briefs Describe RTU Applications for Water / Wastewater Automation and Monitoring

LAKE MARY, FL--(Marketwire - June 15, 2010) -  Semaphore, a CSE Global company, has released three technical documents with information on applications for the T-BOX LT all-in-one RTU and T-BOX Wireless Monitor. T-BOX brings new technology to automation and monitoring of processes in a variety of water and wastewater applications.

The "Basin, Canal, and River Level Monitoring System" brief describes how a T-BOX Wireless Monitor provides timely notification of rapidly-changing conditions, to multiple personnel, while minimizing networking costs. An ultra low-power platform runs on batteries and comprises an ideal package for remote locations that lack nearby power connections.

The "Dissolved Oxygen Monitoring System" brief describes how T-BOX Wireless Monitor capabilities for live monitoring and historical report generation satisfy end users, maintenance staff, and regulatory agencies in a number of applications, including aquaculture, industrial boilers, and wastewater treatment.

The "Pump Station and Lift Station Operations" brief relates how emerging requirements in light of recent economic conditions have increased the priorities on minimizing energy expenditures and prolonging the life of existing, capital equipment. T-BOX systems have been used to provide timely monitoring, improve maintenance, and automate pumps for increased efficiency.

In all applications, an integrated RTU solution manages input measurements and a broad range of communications devices to efficiently allow access to all locations. T-BOX further extends advanced IP communications, an integral web server, and push technology to comprise a very informative monitoring system.

The application briefs are available on the Semaphore website at, http://www.cse-semaphore.com/applications/water.php

T-BOX is the first IP-based telemetry solution that enables the complete integration of SCADA system, control, and communications functionality in one rugged package. It leverages easy-to-use Web technologies and inexpensive public networks for decentralized monitoring and control systems. T-BOX products offer up to 50% less total installed cost per point versus traditional SCADA/ PLC systems, and permit greater organizational access to data through automated reporting and browser software.

Semaphore's T-BOX and Kingfisher RTU products are ideal for a broad range of monitoring and control applications in the broadcast / telecom, infrastructure management, oil & gas, power, transportation, and water / wastewater industries. For more information about Semaphore solutions, visit www.cse-semaphore.com, or contact Semaphore at 1200 Chantry Place, Lake Mary, FL 32746, 407-333-3235.
