Semaphore Releases SCADA Security Suite for RTU Product Line

LAKE MARY, FL--(Marketwire - Jun 29, 2011) - Semaphore, a CSE Global company, has released a suite of SCADA security features for the T-BOX MS RTU product line. This functionality is designed to allow users to exploit the extensive, IP/web telemetry capabilities of T-BOX while maintaining a secure network in terms of detection and prevention of intrusions.

The T-BOX MS security suite includes features ranging from HTTPS (HTTP Secure), which provides security for the integral web server, to a firewall and support of virtual private networks. Security is further enhanced by functions including IEEE 802.1X, DC09 protocol and Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP). Through the use of SNMP, T-BOX MS is Industrial Defender Enabled. This allows T-BOX MS to be monitored by the Industrial Defender Security Event Management (SEM) console enhancing the cyber security posture of the process control / SCADA network.

T-BOX employs an innovative, decentralized architecture that enables the complete integration of programmable automation, alarm management, data logging, and IP telemetry in a single, rugged package. Simple yet powerful platforms leverage web technologies and push messaging via e-mail, SMS text, and FTP. T-BOX systems are easy to configure and offer dramatically reduced costs versus traditional PLC and SCADA architectures.

Semaphore's T-BOX and Kingfisher RTU products are ideal for a broad range of monitoring and control applications in the broadcast / telecom, infrastructure management, oil & gas, power, transportation and water / wastewater industries.
