Selection Ranges From Early- to Mid-Stage Companies Seeking Investment

ATLANTA, GA--(Marketwire - March 12, 2010) - SEMDA has announced a strong line-up of companies that will present to attending venture capitalists at the SEMDA 2010 Conference. The annual event will be held March 25th, 2010 at the Georgia Aquarium.

"We are very pleased with the quality of the companies that will present at this year's conference," said SEMDA President John Edwards. "This is the first year we've had established companies such as Altea Therapeutics and AOI Medical, which are further in their development process and seeking later stage capital to continue their growth. Even in this economy, medical devices are attracting strong investor interest, and we have more than two dozen VCs already registered for the Conference."

Highlighting this year's conference will be three panel events featuring VCs, CEOs and business development professionals. Other education topics include financing, human capital, intellectual property and mergers and acquisitions.

Presenting companies will have the opportunity to introduce their business plans and technology to venture capitalists, angel investors, corporations and investors gathering from across the U.S. Presenting companies at the SEMDA 2010 Conference include:
