CEOs of EndoChoice, Inc. and Advanced Catheter Therapies to Speak

ATLANTA, GA--(Marketwire - Nov 22, 2011) - Mark Gilreath, CEO and Founder of EndoChoice, Inc., will be the featured speaker at the November 29, 2011 meeting of the Southeastern Medical Device Association (SEMDA). Gilreath will provide an overview of the company's growth and explain how the GI-focused medical device company has been able to thrive in a down economy. This will be followed by a "fireside chat" between Gilreath and SEMDA President David Hartnett.

The meeting will begin at 5:30 PM and will be held at the Ravinia Club (www.semda.net to register).

Opening the SEMDA program will be Paul J. Fitzpatrick, CEO of Advanced Catheter Therapies (ACT), who will recount how ACT recently raised a total of $2.98 million in Series A equity financing. On November 1, 2011, the company announced it would change its name from Atlanta Catheter Therapies to Advanced Catheter Therapies.

EndoChoice was recently ranked #6 in Health companies and #103 overall by Inc. magazine in its 30th annual Inc. 500, an exclusive ranking of the nation's fastest-growing private companies. EndoChoice has grown by over 2645% in revenue during a three-year period and projects that it will continue its meteoric rise over the next 12 months. This growth will include expanding its team with the addition of professionals with experience in the medical devices sector.

The Atlanta company has received financing from three Southeast investment firms: River Cities Capital Funds, Council Ventures and Envest Ventures.

"EndoChoice is one of the true success stories for the Southeast, and Mark is a compelling and dynamic speaker," said David Hartnett, SEMDA's 2011-2012 president and Vice President, Bioscience-Health IT Industry Development at the Metro Atlanta Chamber. "I look forward to the insight he can offer our members on building a company, finding financing and developing a strong team culture."
