Senators recall goaltender Mike Brodeur from Binghamton (AHL)

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Jan. 16, 2011) - The Ottawa Senators today recalled goaltender Mike Brodeur from the club's American Hockey League affiliate, the Binghamton Senators. He is recalled for a fifth time on an emergency basis to replace injured Pascal Leclaire.

Brodeur, 27, has made two NHL appearances this season, stopping 23 of the 26 shots he has faced. He has served as back-up to Brian Elliott on seven occasions this season.

The Calgary native has played in four games with Binghamton this season, posting a 2-2-0 record with a 2.82 goals-against-average and .899 save percentage. In four games with the East Coast Hockey League's Elmira Jackals, he has a 3-1-0 record, with a 2.59 goals-against-average and .912 save percentage.

The B-Sens, in fifth place in the AHL's East Division with a 20-18-2-2 record, host the Hershey Bears today 5:05 p.m.
