Send Word Now Hires Two New Sales Executives in the UK, Adding Wealth of Experience to European Region

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - February 8, 2011) - Send Word Now, the leading provider of on-demand alerting, response, and incident management services, announced today the hire of Ian Harkins and Paul Maguire as Regional Sales Managers for the United Kingdom. Harkins and Maguire joined the Send Word Now team in the fourth quarter of 2010 in order to assist with the company's continued growth in the United Kingdom and across Europe.

Ian Harkins, who is based outside of London, joined Send Word Now as a Regional Sales Manager for the UK in December. Harkins is a skilled salesperson with almost 25 years of experience and a consistent track record of signing new business deals. He last worked at Webparts 360, where he sold visual design tools to assist with building and deployment of various CRM solutions. Prior to that, Harkins spent two years at Active Networks selling SaaS-based event and data management software solutions, as well as six years at Solaris selling Applix business intelligence solutions. He has also worked at Systems Development, AP - Dow Jones, and Everex. Harkins attended Sunderland Polytechnic, where he achieved a BA Honors Grade 2:1 in Combined Studies (History and Politics).

Paul Maguire is also based near London and joined the Send Word Now team in December as a Regional Sales Manager for the UK. Maguire brings over fifteen years of experience to this new position, along with a deep understanding of various vertical sectors and markets. Previously, he spent two and a half years as a Business Development Manager at SkillSoft, a provider of online enterprise learning solution, where he helped to sign a number of new strategic accounts. Prior to that, he spent three years at MBGS providing consulting services for business development and sales training to technology companies, and two years at CA Wily as an Account Executive selling enterprise application management solutions to the Global 2000. Maguire received his BSc (with Honors) in Economics from the University of Reading, and his MBA from Durham Business School.
