Send Word Now Used to Support Fight Against Wildfires Across Several States

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - Jul 27, 2011) - Send Word Now, the leading worldwide provider of emergency notification and incident management services, announced today that the National Interagency Fire Center (NIFC), the nation's support center for wildland firefighting , selected Send Word Now to provide mass notification services to its subdivisions, which include state and federal agencies, to help public information officers quickly disseminate information to key individuals who were actively trying to manage the wildfires.

Send Word Now's platform was used by the Southwest Area Type One Incident Management Team: North Command to fight the Wallow Fires in Arizona, the Georgia Department of Forestry for fire support in the Southeast (Georgia and Florida), and by several other Incident Management Teams to fight fires across several states.
