Seniors Helping Seniors of Northern Colorado to Sponsor Colorado Alzheimer's Association Art Auction

FORT COLLINS, CO--(Marketwired - Apr 26, 2013) - Seniors Helping Seniors of Northern Colorado, a leading provider of professional in-home care services for seniors, is proud to announce that they are sponsoring the upcoming 'Memories in the Making' art auction and benefit. The event will include silent and live auctions of artworks by individuals affected by dementia, with the proceeds going to benefit the Colorado chapter of the Alzheimer's Association.

"The 'Memories in the Making' art auction is an excellent benefit and event that the Alzheimer's Association has been organizing all around the country," said Linda Gabel, Seniors Helping Seniors member. "Seniors Helping Seniors of Northern Colorado is proud to be sponsoring the silent auction at the upcoming 'Memories in the Making' event, which will take place on Tuesday, May 21st, 2013 at the Hilton Fort Collins."

'Memories in the Making' raises much needed funds for Alzheimer's research, programs and services, and allows individuals who are affected by dementia to engage in creating art, which provides many benefits; including improved self-esteem, a greater sense of purpose and the simple joy of creating art.

Tickets for the art auction and benefit can be purchased for $75 online. A portion of that amount is tax-deductible and the funds go to benefit the Alzheimer's Association. In addition to the auctions, there will be cocktails, hors d'oeuvres and prize giveaways. Business formal or cocktail attire is appropriate for this event.

Before the event, on April 23rd, from 2-4 PM at the Fort Collins Country Club, artists and their family and friends are invited to enjoy a tea and palette party.

"Seniors Helping Seniors is proud to sponsor this marvelous event which helps dementia patients express themselves through the magic of art, and be recognized for their talents while raising funds for dementia treatment and research programs," said Gabel.
