Sennheiser Brings Superior Sound and Guerilla Marketing to Seattle as Groundbreaking Campaign Makes Final U.S. Stop

Innovative Brand Awareness Initiative Puts Sennheiser at the Forefront With Consumer Interaction, Social Media Engagements and "Guys Team" Webisodes

SEATTLE, WA--(Marketwire - August 10, 2009) - Premium quality headphone manufacturer Sennheiser brings its "Sennheiser Sound Tour" to Seattle this week in what is to be the final stop of its groundbreaking U.S. awareness campaign before moving on to Canada. The "Guys Team," which has been locked in head-to-head competition with the "Girls Team" over the last several weeks in a dramatic "reality show" showdown, will be pulling out all the stops engaging Seattle consumers in retail locations such as Best Buy and the Apple Store, and at city landmarks like The Space Needle and Pike Place Market.

Sennheiser, the German electronics company whose brand is synonymous with high quality and innovation, is highly regarded among the most demanding audiophile consumers. Many consider its recently introduced HD 800 headphones to be the best sounding headphones in the world. Sennheiser's microphones and wireless products are endorsed by world-renowned artists like Madonna, Sting, Beyoncé and many others. The Sennheiser Sound Tour campaign, which runs for the duration of the summer and into September, was designed to familiarize the Sennheiser brand with a broader base of North American consumers.

Our Sennheiser Sound Tour campaign is unique in the industry and reflects our company's innovative approach on many different levels, most importantly in the quality of our products."

Innovative Campaign in Economically Challenging Times

The Sennheiser Sound Tour utilizes a combination of exciting, unconventional avenues and social media channels to reach today's diverse range of headphone consumers. The campaign speaks to the individuality and confidence of contemporary electronics consumers -- a market that includes music enthusiasts, online gamers, multimedia artists and musicians.

The Sennheiser Sound Tour consists of a "Girls Team" and a "Guys Team," each of which is comprised of unique individuals with a startlingly broad range of backgrounds. Throughout the duration of the tour, teams are assigned competitive tasks ranging from over-the-top outrageous to spectacularly goofy, with the ultimate goal of placing as many Sennheiser headphones on consumers' ears as possible. The teams interact with fans and consumers via weekly "reality-show" based Webisodes as well as through a broad variety of social media avenues such as Twitter and Facebook.
