Sens Foundation announce date change for the Bell SENSational Ride & Glide for Mental Health presented by Huawei

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Oct. 22, 2010) -  The Sens Foundation announced today a date change for the Bell SENSational Ride & Glide for Mental Health presented by Huawei. Originally scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 24, the event has been moved to Sunday, Feb. 27, 2011.

The Bell SENSational Ride & Glide for Mental Health presented by Huawei was created to support a number of charities in the region that focus on providing services/programs in the area of mental health for children and youth.

The Sens Foundation has three primary objectives for the event:

- Raise awareness for the need to support mental health initiatives in the region and those charities delivering this important work.

- Provide a unique fundraising event that participants will enjoy.

- Raise money for the Royal Foundation for Mental Health, Dave Smith youth Treatment Centre, University Hospitals Kingston Foundation and Youth Services Bureau of Ottawa Foundation. 

The inaugural Bell SENSational Ride & Glide for mental health presented by Huawei will see participants raise funds by competing in a stationary bike challenge and a skating challenge at Scotiabank Place. The first 60 riders who register and raise $500 will ride 30 minutes on a stationary bike in the team gym to accumulate as much distance as posssible. The first 375 gliders who register and raise $150 or more will have the opportunity to skate at Scotiabank Place for one hour and also meet Senators players.
