Sensage Recognized as One of Twelve Vendors in Gartner Critical Capabilities for Security Information and Event Management Report

REDWOOD SHORES, CA--(Marketwire - May 24, 2012) - Sensage, Inc., the leading provider of advanced Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) and founder of Open Security Intelligence, today announced it has been recognized by Gartner, Inc. in the "Critical Capabilities for Security Information and Event Management"(1) report.

The "Critical Capabilities for Security Information and Event Management" research assesses key security information and event management technologies and scores vendors based on capabilities that are critical for the support of threat management, compliance reporting and SIEM deployment use cases.

"This research is helpful to companies looking for technologies that match specific requirements," stated Joe Gottlieb, President and CEO of Sensage. "As this market matures, the industry is increasingly recognizing the value of vendors like Sensage that deliver a highly specialized offering critical to many organizations who have needs beyond what can be packaged for the mainstream market. I am pleased that the research clearly reflected our areas of strength: optimization for analytics and compliance reporting against big data, as well as our delivery of sophisticated security analytics."

Sensage's patented technology provides optimized high-volume event collection, monitoring, analytics and reporting for large amounts of log data over indefinite periods of time. Over the last twelve months, Sensage also delivered a number of innovations that enhance the usability, detail and analysis that users demand from an advanced SIEM solution. Most importantly, the company released its Open Access Extension (OAE), an interface to the event data warehouse which allows third-party business intelligence tools or custom applications to access/analyze the stored data using standard interfaces.

In addition, the company continues to expand its product offerings and international presence with the introduction of Sensage Swift, the company's soft appliance. Sensage Swift simplifies and accelerates Sensage Event Data Warehouse deployments so that security practitioners may focus on high value activities such as customized security analytics. The soft appliance was launched late last year and has already helped numerous Sensage channel partners like AIRNET, Nanjel, Proact and UniSystems to expedite a range of activities, including customer evaluation, implementation and production operations.
