Sentry Investments announces key executive appointments

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Feb. 14, 2013) - John F. Driscoll, Chairman of the Board, and Sandy McIntyre, Co-Chief Executive Officer and Director, Sentry Investments, are pleased to announce three key executive appointments: Sean Driscoll to the position of Co-Chief Executive Officer and Director, Philip Yuzpe to the position of President and Chief Operating Officer, and Dennis Mitchell to the position of Executive Vice-President and Chief Investment Officer.

Since joining Sentry in 2007, Sean Driscoll has played a leading role in the evolution of the company and the growth of the mutual fund business, with specific emphasis on corporate and product development. In his new role as Co-CEO and Director, Mr. Driscoll will work closely with Sandy McIntyre to guide the long-term vision of the company.

Since joining Sentry in 2006, Philip Yuzpe has held various roles of progressive responsibility in the areas of strategy, product development and operations. As President and COO, Mr. Yuzpe will continue to work closely with Sandy McIntyre and Sean Driscoll on the development of corporate strategy, as well as execution of that strategy. He will also be responsible for day-to-day business operations.

Since joining Sentry in 2005, Dennis Mitchell has progressively taken on increased responsibility within the Investment Department, culminating with his appointment as Chief Investment Officer in January 2012. In his new role as EVP and CIO, Mr. Mitchell will assume a more senior role in helping to manage the business, while continuing to provide leadership to the Investment Department.
