TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Aug. 14, 2012) - Sentry Investments ("Sentry") is pleased to announce that it was one of only seven firms to receive a 2012 TopGun Asset Management Team Award from Brendan Wood International ("BWI"), a worldwide intelligence-based advisory firm. Sentry also received the honour in 2010 and 2011.
BWI also identified our Chief Investment Officer as a TopGun Team Leader and four of our managers as TopGun Investment Minds in Canadian equities. Only 72 portfolio managers were selected from over 482 individuals nominated by BWI's panel comprised of 700 of the leading sell-side analysts and sales professionals. These prestigious awards reflect those "who on a competitive basis ranked highest for investment wisdom and professionalism according to the panel."

He has over a decade of experience in the financial services industry, and is recognized as one of Canada's leading authorities in real estate investing. He joined Sentry in 2005, and heads the real estate and infrastructure team.
