JW Marriott Hotel Seoul Receives Awards From TripAdvisor, UNICEF & Aon Hewitt

SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA--(Marketwired - Jul 1, 2013) - Winning isn't everything, but it sure is nice. That said, the JW Marriott Hotel Seoul has had a very nice year thus far, bringing home awards for guest satisfaction, employee satisfaction and creating a mother-friendly workplace.

The five-star hotel in Seoul, Korea was voted the country's Top Hotel in TripAdvisor's Travelers' Choice Awards, with the hotel's friendly and professional service receiving particular praise from reviewers. Now in their 11th year, the Travelers' Choice Awards produce "top 25" rankings from among more than 6,000 accommodations worldwide in categories including Top Hotels, Luxury, Small Hotels and Best Service. Rankings are based on data gathered from guest feedback and reviews, encompassing categories such as service, values, beds, location, rooms, spas and breakfast.

Guests aren't the only ones impressed by this Seoul city center hotel. Earlier this year, the five-star hotel was named 2013 Best Employer in Korea by global human resources consulting firm Aon Hewitt. Awarded once every 2 years, the prize is given to firms all over the world that create working environments conducive to highly engaged workforces, allow employees to feel an emotional sense of fellowship with the company and its mission, and successfully foster a culture that promotes sustained growth. JW Marriott Seoul is the first Korean hotel to win this award.

Being a new mother can make it hard to go back to work, but these Seoul hotel suites go above and beyond to make the transition as easy as possible, thus being named a 2012 Mother Friendly Workplace by UNICEF. JW Marriott Seoul provides all necessary equipment for breastfeeding and pregnant employees, as well as a dedicated breastfeeding room stocked with books on healthy pregnancy, giving birth and breastfeeding. The hotel also operates a variety of programs to allow female employees to continue working while having and raising children, including education on healthy pregnancy, birth, breastfeeding, breast and cervical cancer, stress control, birth and maternity leave, and successful resumption of work.
