Seprotech Systems Incorporated: Government of Canada Extends Service Contract for Army Water Treatment Systems

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - Sept. 12, 2005) - Seprotech Systems Inc. (TSX VENTURE:SET), a leading Canadian water and wastewater treatment systems manufacturer, is pleased to announce that the Government of Canada has extended the service contract for the Repair and Overhaul of the Army drinking water systems known as the Reverse Osmosis Water Purification Unit (ROWPU). This is a service contract that is called up on an as required basis. This contract extension is valued at about one million dollars over the next twelve months.

"We are delighted that the Government of Canada has decided to extend this contract", said Dr. Gilles R. Turcotte, President and CEO of Seprotech. "We worked hard and demonstrated to the Government that Seprotech has the ability to do this work and to do it well. This project had been mired in legal issues precipitated by a competitor for several years, and our ongoing performance has proven, beyond any doubt, that Seprotech is fully qualified to provide the military with superior service support."

"We consider ourselves to be extremely privileged to be able to support the Canadian Forces for this mission critical item of equipment," added Justin Connidis, Chairman of Seprotech. "The Canadian Forces have been a valued customer for many years and we are delighted that we continue to share their confidence."

The ROWPU is a water treatment system that is used by the Canadian Forces to supply drinking water to its personnel as well as to civilian populations. The system is approximately seven meters long and is designed to produce potable water from heavily contaminated water sources.

Seprotech is a provider of pre-engineered water and wastewater treatment plants to the land development, industrial and military market place, including membrane-based water treatment systems and the ROTORDISK® biological wastewater treatment systems.
