Serenic Navigator 2013 applies recent updates from Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013 technology and functionality, including a new Windows Client and Web Client, in addition to a SharePoint Client. Serenic Navigator is an embedded Microsoft Dynamics NAV solution built specifically to empower Serenic's customers to make the most of each dollar every day. The enhanced product delivers new levels of value through faster, more efficient implementations, compelling new and enhanced application functionality, and unparalleled levels of customer choice on how to deploy and access the solution.

For example, users can produce Excel-based reports that pull live data from Serenic Navigator pages. When they refresh data in Excel, updates made in Serenic Navigator are automatically reflected. Full Microsoft integration also enables using OneNote on a per-role basis in profiles. Users can set up notes for records and pages that include photos, videos and other "unstructured" information.

Multiple client interfaces help extend the reach and value of Serenic Navigator. Each of the following clients displays the role center, giving users three options to access their data and allowing for improved collaboration designed specifically to enhance nonprofits' complex and unique workflow processes:

The Windows Client has a redesigned "Action Pane" referred to as the "ribbon," which appears across the top of displays similar to Microsoft Excel and Word. It includes new keyboard shortcuts and can be customized to offer users easy, security-enhanced access to relevant, up-to-date information.

The Web Client allows users to access, enter and update data in Serenic Navigator via a web browser, and is ideal for simple tasks and for users who do not perform heavy data entry. It is supported by various browsers and devices, including Internet Explorer, Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Safari on iPad. It uses a Simple Server Installation with only IIS required.

The SharePoint Client provides the same functionality as the Web Client, but it displays Serenic Navigator pages and reports via Microsoft SharePoint. It allows users who own SharePoint to add Serenic Navigator pages as web parts, enabling website set-up through SharePoint to share Serenic Navigator data and information with more people inside and outside the company. Users can enter and update data in the Serenic Navigator database via pages on a SharePoint site.
