ServiceSource Appoints Christine Heckart to Chief Marketing Officer

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - Jul 27, 2012) -   ServiceSource® (NASDAQ: SREV), the global leader in Service Revenue Management, today announced the appointment of Christine Heckart to the role of chief marketing officer (CMO). Effective immediately, Heckart will be responsible for all aspects of the global corporate marketing organization at ServiceSource and reports to Mike Smerklo, chief executive officer and chairman of the board.

Throughout the last two decades, Heckart has played an integral role in the marketing and growth strategies of successful technology companies. As CMO of NetApp, Heckart spearheaded the rebuilding and integration of the global marketing organization. Prior to NetApp, Heckart was general manager of marketing and business development for the TV, video, and music business at Microsoft Corporation and previously served as vice president and CMO of worldwide marketing for Juniper Networks.

"Christine's proven track record of success as a chief marketing officer and 20 plus years in the technology industry make her the ideal addition to ServiceSource as we look to increase awareness and drive greater demand in the global marketplace," said CEO Smerklo. "Her passion for creative thinking and experience launching great products will prove vital as we scale the business and build out our software offering."

"Over the last 12 years, ServiceSource has built a successful global brand by partnering with some of the world's largest tech-enabled companies to nurture and optimize recurring revenue -- the lifeblood of any company," said Heckart. "Research results show that our brand is the most valued and respected among key targets in our total addressable market of customers and prospects, and I am thrilled to help build upon the success of this world-class organization."

Natalie McCullough, who held the position of CMO for ServiceSource for the past three years, built a global marketing organization from the ground up and helped lead the company through its successful IPO in 2011. She will assume the role of chief strategy officer at ServiceSource, combining her expertise in software strategy and knowledge of the company to help scale the business and support its evolution toward the delivery of more software-as-a-service via the cloud.

"Having built a distinguished global marketing organization, Natalie has been instrumental in generating greater awareness for the ServiceSource brand, driving demand for our revenue solutions and educating the marketplace about the unlocked potential of recurring service revenue," said Smerklo. "In the next stage of her journey, ServiceSource will leverage her expertise in software strategy, industry knowledge and familiarity with ServiceSource as we evolve into a technology powerhouse."
