SET Creative's Growth Leads to Los Angeles Expansion

Israel Kandarian Hired as Creative Director

LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwired - Oct 8, 2014) - SET, an experientially led creative agency, has opened a Los Angeles location in response to the increasing demand for the agency's tailored brand experiences. Headquartered in Portland, Ore., SET expanded to its third location after opening an office in New York City last year. Industry veteran Israel Kandarian was hired to serve as creative director for the agency and is based in the Los Angeles office.

SET has grown by more than 180 percent in the past three years with $30 million in revenues in 2013. This growth is projected to continue and the agency expects to add to the current staff of seven in the Los Angeles office with five more employees by the end of the year, adding to SET's current headcount of 81.

As the creative director, Kandarian is responsible for leading SET's design team, defining the agency's vision and charting the course for the agency's design studio. Kandarian has nearly 20 years of industry experience. He previously worked for Danton-Cardew Design where he directed projects for Levi's and Converse. He was also a creative director for Hurley and an art director at Nike. Throughout his career, he has worked with such brands as Prada, Arc'teryx, Google, and Beats by Dre, among others. He earned his master of architecture degree from Princeton University and his bachelor of architecture degree from the Southern California Institute of Architecture.
