Sexual Trauma Services of the Midlands Advances Technology Infrastructure With the Support of VC3

Streamlined Network System Benefits Clients, Partners and Staff

COLUMBIA, SC -- (MARKET WIRE) -- August 1, 2006 -- Sexual Trauma Services of the Midlands (STSM) today announced advancements in its technology infrastructure that will help to streamline the numerous services it provides for survivors of sexual trauma. With the support of VC3, a leading provider of high quality IT services to both private and public sector clients, STSM now operates a fully functional Client Tracking System.

The client tracking database, part of an agency-wide development project, increases the quality and accuracy of data maintained in the system such as client records, agency funding and services rendered and streamlines the creation of management reports.

STSM provides more than 10,000 persons across Lexington, Newberry and Richland counties with free services that support the health and healing of the total victim through prevention, treatment and advocacy.

"The agency quickly outgrew our previous network and with insufficient in-house technical knowledge we often encountered repeated system interruptions and downtime, limited system security and data back-up and storage," said Meredith McDaniel, office manager, Sexual Trauma Services of the Midlands.

Executive Director, Carol Wyatt adds, "We would have been hard pressed to have this quality, custom built system without the expertise and generosity of VC3. The agency was also assisted with matching funding and support from corporate and community donors."

VC3 partnered with STSM to evaluate how best to 'provide rapid, comprehensive services to clients and constituents.' The teams determined a hosted, Microsoft-based SQL Server database and Microsoft .NET platform would provide a solution with excellent usability and reliability characteristics.

As a dynamic IT services organization, VC3 has delivered a wide variety of Microsoft .NET based customer-oriented solutions to small, medium and large commercial, public and private sector corporations throughout the Southeast.

"We are pleased that Sexual Trauma Services of the Midlands sought out VC3 for a project that directly affects their business operations and the interactions between their staff and clients," said David Dunn, chairman and CEO, VC3. "With our technical expertise and knowledge, we were well positioned to deliver a comprehensive and customized solution that will serve the agency today and well into the future."

The solution is housed at a secure facility on a private server dedicated solely to the agency. VC3's qualified technicians maintain the server and the database 24-hours per day, 7-days per week, year-round.

As part of its commitment to the community in which it operates, VC3 reduced its project costs and billed one third of the fees as pro bono.
