SFIMA Explores Affiliate Marketing Best Practices

Expert Panel Offers Practical Strategies to Motivate Affiliates

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL--(Marketwired - Jun 27, 2013) -  The South Florida Interactive Marketing Association will host a panel of affiliate marketing experts to share best practices, strategies and successful techniques that will help internet marketers expand their affiliate marketing efforts and reach their goals. Projected to be a $4.5 billion industry by 2016, affiliate marketing is an increasingly popular technique companies use to attract new customers and add incremental revenue. This knowledge-packed session will be led by Evan Weber, CEO of Experience Advertising, a full-service online marketing agency that specializes in affiliate marketing.

Attendees from merchant companies will learn how to leverage the affiliate channel while still preserving their bottom line and return on investment in the channel. They'll hear the best ways to run promotions, contests and sweepstakes to motivate affiliates, as well as which affiliate tools lead the pack. Affiliates will gain from the talk as well with an inside look at how to earn money through websites, email lists and social media.

Evan Weber has been in the online marketing world since the late 1990s. He was marketing director for a successful health portal before launching his current agency in 2007. Weber will be joined on the panel by Gus Brito, co-founder and managing of director of OPM Direct, an agency for outsourced affiliate management and performance marketing services; Corey Gleichenhaus, CEO of Double Play Media, a full-service online advertising agency specializing in affiliate marketing and lead generation; and Jon Levine, owner and senior consultant of Click Here Consulting, a firm helping companies maximize their online earning potential.

The meeting takes place Thursday, July 11 at the IGFA Fishing Hall of Fame and Museum in Dania Beach, Fla. Networking runs from 6:30 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. The panel discussion runs from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The event is free for SFIMA members.
