SFIMA/Pubcon Summit Explores the Future of Digital Marketing

National Experts in Search and Social Media Connect With Business Leaders and Marketing Pros

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL--(Marketwired - Apr 29, 2013) - The South Florida Interactive Marketing Association and Pubcon will host a fourth annual digital summit, Optimize. Socialize. Monetize!, on Tuesday, May 14 at Nova Southeastern University. The intensive, one-day event, presented by the Palm Beach Post, brings South Florida marketers and business executives together to explore the future of digital marketing: how it shapes consumers' lives and how companies can most effectively apply best practices to succeed in today's competitive environment. Topics range from social media marketing to search engine optimization to authentic storytelling and community-building.

Thought-provoking keynote talks will be offered by Rob Snell, e-commerce expert, blogger and author; and Melanie Mitchell, a nationally recognized leader in search engine marketing. Snell has dominated the e-commerce industry by generating millions of dollars in Internet sales for clients in the Yahoo! Store. He attracted legions of fans with the 2006 release of his popular book, Starting a Yahoo! Business for DUMMIES. Mitchell has been at the forefront of search engine marketing for more than 13 years. She served as senior vice president of search marketing strategy at Digitas, and was vice president of search engine optimization and search engine marketing at AOL.

The summit runs from 8:15 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., followed by a cocktail reception from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Breakfast and lunch will be provided. The event takes place at Nova's southeastern campus in Davie, FL. The cost is $199 for SFIMA members.
