SHAKER Appoints Dan Koletsky to Insights Team as Relationship Manager

Industrial-Organizational Psychology Expert to Leverage Selection Science Experience in New Role

CLEVELAND, OH--(Marketwired - Sep 22, 2015) - SHAKER, the market leader in custom simulations for pre-employment testing, today welcomed Dan Koletsky, M.A., as a relationship manager for the company's Insights Team.

The SHAKER Insights Team provides ongoing talent analytics that document business impact and drive refinement of assessment scoring algorithms. Each new validation analysis improves the predictive accuracy and power of the assessment. In essence, SHAKER's assessments get smarter over time based upon the work from the selection scientists on the Insights Team. Koletsky will leverage his background in talent acquisition and pre-hire assessments to help SHAKER's clients effectively assess and select the right individuals to drive their organization's performance.

"We saw in Dan a commercial savvy and rare depth of understanding of how selection science practices are implemented. Those attributes are both rare and highly valued," said Joseph P. Murphy, SHAKER executive vice president. "Dan's previous experience as a recruiter was icing on the cake. He knows firsthand the challenges faced by talent acquisition leaders and how decision support tools based on selection science can consistently improve the quality of hire."

Prior to joining the SHAKER Insights Team, Koletsky served as the talent selection and assessment manager for well-known retailer Sears Holdings, where he navigated the complexity of internal expectations and delivery of services from a portfolio of assessment providers. During his tenure as an organizational development analyst for Patrick Engineering, Koletsky honed his analytic and leadership skills while ensuring that the organization's selection system was successful as well as legally defensible. His career also has included serving as a technical recruiter for IT staffing and services firm Apex Systems.

An associate member of both the American Psychology Association (APA) and the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology (SIOP), Koletsky earned a Master of Arts degree in industrial-organizational psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. He also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology with a minor in business from Pennsylvania State University.

Koletsky commented, "I'm thrilled and honored to be part of the SHAKER team where I'm able to continue to pursue my passion for using evidence-based assessments to drive business results. Since I was first introduced to SHAKER, I've been impressed with the collaborative, innovative and client-focused approach to developing and deploying pre-hire assessments. Having applied experience in corporate selection and assessment, I appreciate the emphasis SHAKER puts on client partnerships, as well as the importance of paying meticulous attention to the candidate experience while documenting a strong ROI."
