Shalov Stone Bonner & Rocco LLP Announces Class Action Against Immucor, Inc.

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - August 27, 2009) - Shalov Stone Bonner & Rocco LLP announces that a class action lawsuit has been filed on behalf of all purchasers of the publicly traded securities of Immucor, Inc. ("Immucor" or the "Company") (NASDAQ: BLUD) between October 19, 2005 and April 23, 2009 (the "Class Period"), who were damaged thereby. The lawsuit is pending in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia against Immucor and certain of its officers and directors.

The complaint alleges that, throughout the Class Period, defendants materially misrepresented Immucor's business operations by failing to disclose that Immucor was operating in violation of the U.S. antitrust laws. On April 24, 2009, Immucor issued a press release announcing, in part, that it had "received a subpoena from the United States Department of Justice, Antitrust Division, pertaining to an investigation of possible violations of the federal criminal antitrust laws in the blood reagents industry. On this news, Immucor's closing stock price fell from $20.98 on April 23, 2009 to $15.35 on the next trading day.
