Shalov Stone Bonner & Rocco LLP Announces Class Action Filed Against Skilled Healthcare Group, Inc.

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - August 4, 2009) - Shalov Stone Bonner & Rocco LLP announces that a class action lawsuit has been filed on behalf of purchasers of the common stock of Skilled Healthcare Group, Inc., ("Skilled Healthcare" or the "Company") (NYSE: SKH) common stock between May 14, 2007 and June 9, 2009, inclusive (the "Class Period"). Also included are persons who purchased Skilled Healthcare Class A common stock pursuant and/or traceable to the Company's Initial Public Offering ("IPO"). The lawsuit is pending in the United States District Court for the Central District of California.

The complaint alleges that, throughout the Class Period, the defendants violated the federal securities laws by making false and misleading statements. More specifically, the complaint alleges that the defendants misrepresented the true amount of the company's income in its IPO Prospectus, as well as in other documents filed with the SEC. On June 9, 2009, the Company announced that its prior financial statements for the annual and quarterly periods from January 1, 2006 through March 31, 2009 should no longer be relied upon, and that those financial statements would be restated. On this news, the Company's stock fell significantly.
