Shalov Stone Bonner & Rocco LLP Is the Only Law Firm That Has Filed a Securities Fraud Class Action Against Franklin Bank Corp.

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - June 7, 2008) - Shalov Stone Bonner & Rocco LLP yesterday filed a securities fraud class action on behalf of all investors who purchased or otherwise acquired the common or preferred stock of Franklin Bank Corp. (NASDAQ: FBTX) (AMEX: FBK-P), between October 29, 2007, and May 1, 2008, inclusive. This is the only securities fraud class action that has been filed to protect the interests of Franklin investors.

As Shalov Stone Bonner & Rocco LLP previously warned, other law firms will issue press releases, even though they have not themselves filed complaints or conducted an independent investigation of the facts. These press releases are often designed only to solicit clients. As predicted, earlier today another law firm issued a press release announcing not its own complaint, but, instead, the complaint filed by Shalov Stone Bonner & Rocco LLP. While this firm characterized itself as "plaintiff's counsel," it does not appear that this firm has itself initiated any actual litigation.
