Sharecare CEO Jeff Arnold to Kick off the Ogilvy CommonHealth Worldwide 2015 Marketing Summit

PARSIPPANY, NJ--(Marketwired - Sep 10, 2015) - Ogilvy CommonHealth Worldwide (www.ochww.com), the health behavior change specialists of Ogilvy & Mather (www.ogilvy.com), and a WPP company (NASDAQ: WPPGY) (www.wpp.com), today announced the addition of Jeff Arnold, chairman and CEO of Sharecare, as the opening keynote speaker at the Ogilvy CommonHealth Worldwide 2015 Marketing Summit: Marketing in the Age of Person-centric Healthcare.

Arnold will open the summit by discussing how -- in the new era of consumer-driven healthcare -- we are challenged with delivering what people want, which is "all their healthcare in one place" -- and it must be done in partnership with the patient and provider. In his keynote, The Power of Positive Computing In Consumer-Driven Healthcare, Arnold will explore the importance of attracting people when and where they're most likely to engage -- whether that's in the living room, the exam room at the pharmacy or -- more likely -- on their smartphone; as well as his vision for applying the principles of positive computing to advance a person's happiness and, eventually, their overall health.

Founded in 2010 by Arnold and Dr. Mehmet Oz, Sharecare is a comprehensive health and wellness engagement platform that provides people with personalized resources to help them live their healthiest lives. Nearly 40 million people have shared more than 5 billion data points about their health status and habits with Sharecare, which uses that information to create a comprehensive health profile for each user, allowing them to access all of their health resources in one place, and dynamically connect to the knowledge, evidence-based programs and health professionals they need. Sharecare's platform is accessed daily by millions of consumers, including viewers of The Dr. Oz Show, patient populations of the country's leading hospital systems, including Trinity Health and Hospital Corporation of America, and every Soldier in the United States Army.

Previously, Arnold was chairman and CEO of HowStuffWorks.com, an award-winning online resource used by millions of people each month, which he sold to Discovery Communications. It was at Discovery that he served as chief digital strategy officer and chief architect of The Curiosity Project until December 2011.

Earlier in his notable career, he founded and served as CEO of WebMD, the first healthcare company to harness the power of the Internet to create a destination for consumers, healthcare institutions and physicians to find trustworthy medical information.

Currently also chairman of Forbes Travel Guide, Arnold has won numerous awards over the years and served on various boards for public, private, and charitable organizations.

Ogilvy CommonHealth Worldwide will co-host the Summit with Econsultancy (www.econsultancy.com), OgilvyRED (www.ogilvyred.com), and Bottle Rocket (www.bottlerocketstudios.com) on Thursday, September 24, at Ogilvy CommonHealth Worldwide's office in New York City.

This educational, 1-day event will allow attendees to examine and discuss a radical shift for marketers currently underway within the healthcare industry. The transformation, driven by legislative change, technological innovation and adoption, and patient empowerment, is continually altering the healthcare environment, creating many challenges and opportunities for marketers along the way. Ogilvy CommonHealth Worldwide and our co-sponsors believe the key to this change is the emergence of a healthcare ecosystem that places the patient at the center -- person-centric healthcare.

Attendance at the event is by invitation only and is reserved for senior-level individuals representing healthcare companies, including pharmaceutical and biotechnology, device and diagnostic, hospitals, managed care and health nonprofits, as well as consumer-focused companies working within the health and wellness space.

The summit will include presentations from a wide range of industry experts and thought leaders, including:
