ShareFile Gives Businesses Ability to Charge for Access to Premium Files With FolderPay™

Unique Functionality Reinforces Company's Commitment to Delivering Professional Solutions for Secure File Exchange

RALEIGH, NC--(Marketwire - November 23, 2010) - ShareFile, a leading provider of secure file transfer and full-featured virtual data room solutions that enable companies to exchange large and/or confidential business files, today announced FolderPay™, an offering which allows companies to charge for access to premium files or folders hosted using ShareFile's service. Through the offering, content owners can charge customers per download or on a subscription basis. This functionality is unique in the marketplace and is now live for a select subset of ShareFile's 1.5 million users.

A direct response to customer feedback, FolderPay is a fully customizable solution that allows corporations to easily streamline operations and effectively manage access to premium business content. Using the familiar, custom-branded ShareFile portal, content owners are able to assign a price per content item or subscription, optionally offer view-only previews of premium content and link an account for payment.

"With FolderPay ShareFile is reinforcing its commitment to streamline workflows related to securely exchanging digital files and folders," said Jesse Lipson, chief executive officer, ShareFile. "A number of our customers were using multiple vendors to host, preview and sell their content and were forced to undergo a cumbersome integration process using custom programming and APIs to tie everything together. FolderPay offers a tighter integration with ShareFile and a more seamless experience for their customers. It's unique in the marketplace."

"We approached ShareFile in the Spring of 2010 looking for a way to simplify our process for hosting construction plans and allowing subcontractors to download the plans for a fee," said Wayne Alley of VCC. "Jesse and the team at ShareFile were incredibly receptive to the idea and the FolderPay solution has significantly improved the efficiency of that part of our business."
