Sharket Saleability Score™ and Resort Rank

Sharket's rankings are based on the number of resales as well as the median price occurring during a specified reporting period.

"Our current scores and ranking are based on resales occurring between January 2013 and July 2014," says Schmidt. "For each resort, we calculate a Saleability Score on a scale of one to ten and then we rank resorts within each numerical Saleability Score based on the total dollar volume of resales during the reporting period," Schmidt adds.

Sharket scores and ranks more than 1,400 timeshare resorts overall. Each resort has a dedicated page on the website where a detailed sales history can be seen.

"We encourage every timeshare owner to look up their resort on Sharket and see the sales activity at their resort," Schmidt says.

"Just type in the name of a resort and you'll see all the actual resales data we have for that timeshare," says Schmidt. "Our sales charts show at a glance the date of sale and the actual resale price and you can easily see how many sales have taken place over the past several years," Schmidt explains.

"When you hover over any of the data points on the chart you can see the particulars of the timeshare week that was sold such as number of points, week number, season and view. We also display a typical price that makes it easy to see what a timeshare has been selling for," Schmidt goes on to say.

Sharket data comes primarily from county land records. Data is extracted from timeshare deeds and a variety of important timeshare details are captured in the process such as date of sale, sale amount, week number, season, view, number of points, etc. Any details captured are displayed on Sharket's sales charts making Sharket a gold mine of information about timeshare resales.

"I don't know of any other source that has published as much information about timeshare resales as Sharket," says Schmidt.

About Sharket is a free website with an extensive database for the timeshare industry including timeshare resales transaction data for more than 1,400 resorts primarily in the U.S., Canada and the Caribbean. With its unique Saleability Score and Resort Rank, Sharket is on a mission to measure, score and rank the world's timeshare resorts based on actual sale data.
