McCollam to Be Honored at the Seventh Annual Bay Area CFO of the Year Awards Benefiting Larkin Street Youth Services

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - Feb 17, 2012) - The Independent Selection Panel of the Bay Area CFO of the Year Awards announced today Sharon L. McCollam, Director, Executive Vice President, Chief Operating and Chief Financial Officer, of Williams-Sonoma, Inc. as the recipient of the Hall of Fame - Lifetime Achievement Award for 2012. McCollam, along with the finalists and winners in the six other CFO award categories, will be honored at the Seventh Annual Bay Area CFO of the Year Awards on May 30, 2012 at the Westin St. Francis Hotel in San Francisco.

The awards dinner is a sell-out event attended by over 500 prominent Bay Area business executives. All proceeds benefit Larkin Street Youth Services, the leading nonprofit providing housing, education, job assistance, medical and social services to homeless and at-risk youth, ages 12-24, in San Francisco.

Throughout her career at Williams-Sonoma, Inc., McCollam has been a highly influential cross-functional leader, and has helped the Company achieve new levels of financial and operational performance. She is responsible for overseeing the company's finance, accounting, treasury, investor relations, information technology, human resources, real estate, store development, corporate procurement, corporate facilities and business process integration functions. McCollam joined the company in March 2000 as Vice President of Finance, and was promoted to the position of Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in October 2000. She was promoted to the position of Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer in May 2003 and to her current position as Director, Executive Vice President, Chief Operating and Chief Financial Office in July 2006. She previously held financial executive positions at Dole Food Company and Ernst & Young. McCollam also sits on the Board of Directors of Sutter Health.

Finalists for the Bay Area CFO of the Year will be announced in April and the winners will be announced at the dinner and awards ceremony on May 30, 2012.
