Sharp(R) Electronics Marketing Company of America Bolsters Sales Organization With Two Additions


MAHWAH, NJ--(Marketwire - December 14, 2010) - Sharp Electronics Marketing Company of America (SEMCA), a division of Sharp Electronics Corporation, today announced that it has strengthened its sales management team with the addition of two industry veterans. John Homlish has joined the SEMCA leadership team as vice president, sales, Home Entertainment, and Paul Norton has been named director, Western Region Sales. The company also announced that Bruce Fairchild has accepted the newly created position of senior director, Channel Marketing.

As vice president, sales, Mr. Homlish is responsible for all home entertainment product sales including regional, national and specialty channels. He reports to John Herrington, president of SEMCA and brings strong leadership and industry experience in both sales and marketing to Sharp. Prior to joining Sharp, Mr. Homlish served as executive vice president of sales and marketing for Casio America. Prior to that, he held positions of increasing responsibility at Samsung Electronics Americas and Sony Electronics, Inc. 

As director of western region sales, Paul Norton will be responsible for leading SEMCA's western U.S. sales team. Mr. Norton, who will report to John Homlish, brings extensive sales experience in both the consumer electronics and IT industries. He comes to Sharp after a successful tenure as director of U.S. Sales for Hitachi America, LTD. Mr. Norton has also held sales positions at Compaq Computer, Hewlett-Packard and Toshiba Corporation. 

In his new role, Bruce Fairchild will lead the development of Sharp's trade programs and policies. Formerly Bruce was senior director of regional sales.
