As of Q4 2012, SheerID is the most comprehensive point-of-purchase verification vendor, the only company enabling businesses to customize discounts and savings for special interest consumer groups, such as students, teachers and the military, and to verify their eligibility.
SheerID tracked a 43 percent increase in verifications in Q4 2012 alone, with the majority of growth seen in the military verification segment. This means that of the consumer groups merchants verify to receive special offers or discounts, the military is the group they are helping the most. SheerID's flagship product, introduced to verify college students and the military, was enhanced with an update that instantly verifies K-12 and public school teachers and administrators, registered home schoolers, and organizations with non-profit status within the US, Mexico, Canada and Israel.

In response to demand by its retailer customers, which include Costco, Fathead, and CampSaver, among others, SheerID enhanced its product with the creation of Magento and OpenCart plug-ins, coupon code protection, ATBS integration, an iOs software developer kit (SDK), and SheerID's first Eventbrite integration. SheerID also hired an Oregon-based call center to service users worldwide. These changes resulted in international expansion and increased volume.
SheerID bolstered its development team in 2012 as well, and launched a hosted verification solution as an alternative to implementation using the SheerID API. In Q4, the company gained significant traction within the ticketing industry by integrating with the ATBS platform and partnering with FutureTix, which consults on ticketing practices and technologies for arenas, sports teams, universities, and more. Its newest military partners include the National Military Family Association, Leading Points, and Challenge America, which all aid in improving the quality of life for the military and their families.
