Sherway Gardens Lights Up Toronto's Sky With the Premiere of Winter Sky, the First-Ever Canopy Rooftop Film Screening

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Dec. 3, 2007) -

Attention: News Editors

Sherway Gardens is transforming its 24,000 sq ft tented rooftop into an extraordinary panoramic screen for the premiere of Winter Sky, a kaleidoscope of wondrous winter imagery created by artist Michaele Jordana, whose work hangs in The National Gallery of Canada. The film combines exhilarating digital video and motion graphics with cutting edge lighting and projection technology, in a choreographed video fresco that envelopes the viewer. With 18,000 watts of light output from 24 automated computer-controlled fixtures, 6 cameras, and 6 projectors, the 5-minute show will captivate audiences indoors and out, visible to drivers on the 427 & QEW, and even helicopters from the sky. Synchronized with the symphonic sounds of the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Winter Sky is a 360-degree immersive experience of light, colour, texture and motion. Winter Sky is presented by Sherway Gardens, produced by PeakMedia, in association with Frischkorn Audio Visual.
