SHIFT Communications Welcomes Two New MDs in New York and San Francisco Offices

Expands Senior Team With Award Winning Digital Marketing Talent

BOSTON, MA--(Marketwire - Dec 14, 2011) - SHIFT Communications, a marketing agency that lives at the intersection of traditional communications and social media, is proud to announce the addition of two seasoned public relations executives to lead its San Francisco and New York offices. Aaron Heinrich and Molly Mandell join the firm with impressive digital marketing backgrounds, and will help the Agency continue to deliver on its mission to challenge and redefine the role and impact of public relations.

Heinrich will be taking the reins of the San Francisco office, bringing more than 20 years of experience from corporate communication programs to award-winning online and offline campaigns. Heinrich has managed multiple successful product launches for top global and national brands like T-Mobile and the Kodak Easy Share Gallery. He specializes in a range of consumer and B2B industries including wireless, retail, software, insurance, healthcare, consumer technology and e-commerce.

"What most attracted me to SHIFT was the pervasive sense that they are willing to turn the status quo on its ear as long as it benefits the clients, the agency or the staff -- preferably all three," said Heinrich. "That kind of challenger mentality is necessary to take advantage of the proliferation of social and digital media companies in the Bay Area, the pervasive spirit of entrepreneurialism and the desire by companies here to be more innovative."

Prior to taking on his new role at SHIFT, Heinrich was a communications consultant and account manager at ROI Communications, where he provided services to Fortune 500 corporations including Cisco, eBay/PayPal and Liberty Mutual. Prior to ROI Communications, he managed global PR teams at Waggener Edstrom and Ketchum, and worked with teams at both agencies to integrate social media into traditional PR campaigns.

Mandell will be joining the senior management team in the New York office. With fourteen years of experience specializing in social media and entertainment, her skill set will be invaluable to the agency's growing roster of consumer and B2C clients. She has experience developing award winning digital campaigns, leading the strategy, creative development, branding, publicity, display media buying, CRM, analytics, SEM and SEO for clients.

"I'm thrilled to be joining the SHIFT family and excited for the opportunity to lead the New York office," said Mandell. "I look forward to leveraging my digital marketing background to open up opportunities for 360 degree marketing initiatives with our growing client base. I plan to work alongside the team as we continue to take a holistic approach to PR and social media, showcasing how digital can be an integral part of successful marketing and PR partnerships."

Prior to joining SHIFT, Mandell grew and developed the Social Media/PR department at LBi as a client partner/head of social media. She has developed groundbreaking campaigns for GE, Clinique, Calvin Klein and Hendrick's Gin. With a rich background in digital marketing, Mandell will play a primary role in helping SHIFT continue to develop its interactive capabilities and deliver on our commitment to use innovation to differentiate and drive client programs.

"As we looked to further build out our senior management team with these key hires, we recognized we had two important constituencies to serve -- our clients and our staff," said Amy Lyons, president, SHIFT Communications. "We are confident that with the deep communications expertise and strong management skill sets Aaron and Molly bring to the table, we will see continued growth and innovation driven out of our New York and San Francisco offices."
