SHL Americas Introduces New Report That Predicts Work Behavior
Reliable, Practical Tool Helps Organizations Make Smart Workforce Decisions

PRINCETON, NJ--(Marketwire - July 16, 2008) - SHL, a world-leading provider of objective
employment assessment and development solutions, today released the latest
addition to its Occupational Personality Questionnaire (OPQ) family, the
OPQ32 Manager Plus Report. The Manager Plus Report helps supervisors and
managers effectively manage their teams by providing key insights into an
individual's likely workplace behaviors.
The OPQ is one of the most widely used personality measures in the world.
Personality questionnaires consider how people like to work and their
behavioral style, focusing on how an individual approaches a job rather
than the ability to perform that job. The OPQ32 Manager Plus Report has
been designed to support managers and HR professionals when recruiting or
considering development of their staff. It shows how the candidate prefers
to work; how the candidate is likely to interact with colleagues; and the
candidate's likely performance against a range of competencies proven to be
important at work.
The new report incorporates the SHL Universal Competency Framework™,
which was developed after extensive research and is a state-of-the-art,
globally standard classification of competencies required in the workplace.
Managers can assess an individual's potential against key competencies and
behaviors in the work place.
"We have designed the Manager Plus Report specifically with line managers
in mind," said Dr. Hennie Kriek, president, SHL Americas. "Line managers
typically are not trained in the use of objective assessments, so we wanted
to provide them with a report that is easier to use and interpret and
provides practical, relevant information to improve hiring decisions."
The new Manager Plus Report contains additional components not included in
previous versions, allowing for a deeper view of an individual than is
possible with SHL's existing Manager Report. It provides detailed
information on the critical areas that inform hiring decisions: behavior at
work, working with others and common competencies. Manager Plus offers new
information and additional value for clients through an overall report
re-design.
The OPQ32 Manager Plus Report is now available at www.shl.com or by calling
SHL Client Services at 1.800.899.7451.
