SHL Names John B. Cross as New Vice President of Sales, Americas

PRINCETON, NJ--(Marketwire - May 14, 2008) - SHL, a world-leading provider of objective
employment assessment and development solutions, today announced that John
B. (JB) Cross has joined the organization as vice president of Sales,
Americas. In this capacity, Cross will drive SHL's continued momentum in
the human capital management sector. Located in SHL's Princeton, N.J.
offices, he will oversee the efforts of SHL's direct teams in the Americas,
as well as identify cross-selling and channel sales distribution
opportunities.
Prior to joining SHL, Cross was the regional sales manager in charge of new
business development and client management in New York and New Jersey for
Jacksonville, Fla.-based Vurv Technology, a provider of on-demand talent
management software. In this position, he sold software and professional
services to C-level executives and HR professionals, executing on a
territory business plan with a targeted growth rate of 20%. Cross was also
responsible for the renewal of assigned existing customers and a key member
of multi-disciplined internal project teams focused on leadership
development, employee engagement and customer satisfaction.
Before that, Cross was a senior vice president for Quincy, Mass.-based
CitiStreet, LLC, where he was responsible for closing new business and
selling the company's human capital and employee benefit administration
tools. Working out of CitiStreet's Jacksonville, Fla. regional office,
Cross met targeted new business goals and successfully negotiated and
renewed one hundred percent of assigned clients, representing over $18
million in annual revenue.
In both positions, Cross focused on companies with 2,000 or more employees
in three main sectors: high tech, healthcare and financial services. He has
also served as the vice president of Healthcare Services for Global
Emergency Medical Services, Inc. in Alpharetta, Ga.; vice president of
Marketing & Client Services at OneSource Health Network/The Health
Advantage in Winter Park, Fla.; and assistant vice president for Sarasota,
Fla.-based The Travelers Plan Administrators of Florida, Inc. He holds a
bachelor's degree in business administration in Risk Management & Insurance
from the University of Georgia in Athens, Ga.
