ShortForm Brings New Entertainment Experience to the Web With User-Curated Video Channels

New Model Poised to Redefine Video Monetization

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - November 10, 2010) -  ShortForm, the website that brings you short video clips from anywhere on the web in a continuous stream, unveiled a new entertainment experience today at NewTeeVee Live. With an active VJ community curating continuous channels featuring clips from YouTube, Digg, Facebook, and other social sites, ShortForm makes it easy for visitors to lean back and enjoy an endless stream of short video clips -- similar to the TV viewing experience. ShortForm launches its new online experience at www.shortform.com (formerly shortform.tv), with plans for new screens and platforms on the company's roadmap.

This model disrupts the video advertising model by engaging viewers for longer periods of time. ShortForm VJs curate continuous channels of their favorite videos, and share them through the ShortForm channel guide, and via social channels like Facebook and Twitter. ShortForm VJs also curate channels around specific topics like pets, travel, or food. VJs surface content that was previously hard to find, or buried, and engage viewers by creating a continuous video stream that keeps them watching.

ShortForm brought in Stewart J. Bonn this past summer as VP of Product to drive development of the platform with emphasis on an excellent user experience. Bonn is an interactive entertainment product veteran who joined Electronic Arts in 1983 as one of the first employees, and produced many of Electronic Arts' most successful titles during his 12 years there. Bonn's role as head of product will be instrumental as ShortForm continues to innovate, and moves its platform beyond the web to additional screens.
