Shoutlet Names Enterprise Software Veteran Mark Herrington Chief Executive Officer

MADISON, WI--(Marketwired - Sep 16, 2013) -  Shoutlet, the leading independent cloud-based social marketing platform, today announced it has named veteran enterprise software executive Mark Herrington as its new CEO. Mark boasts more than 20 years of senior software leadership experience, with a proven track record of leading innovation teams, steady and rapid organizational expansion, and driving companies to the forefront of their markets.

"With his impressive accomplishments accelerating profitability and growth, we're thrilled to have Mark come on board to continue to drive Shoutlet forward," said Aaron Everson, Shoutlet's COO and President. "Shoutlet's technological leadership combined with Mark's first-hand understanding of the power and value of data and analytics will undoubtedly be the combination to take the company to the next level."

Prior to joining Shoutlet, Mark held several leadership positions with First Data Corporation, a global leader in electronic commerce and payment processing, most recently as the Executive Vice President of Global Product Management and Innovation. During his time at First Data Corporation, he led the company's efforts to build industry first solutions for mobile payments and ecommerce. He joined the company through the acquisition of Money Network, a company he co-founded in 2001, which provided an electronic payroll distribution solution. Under his leadership, Money Network expanded rapidly, experiencing a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of more than 80 percent since inception. The employee base grew as well, from three employees to more than 100 by the time it was acquired by First Data Corporation in 2008.

"I couldn't be more excited to join Shoutlet at a time when the product and the customer base have never been stronger," said Mark. "Supported by an incredibly talented team and their passion to innovate, I'm confident Shoutlet's market position will continue to strengthen through a commitment to building increasingly valuable solutions that enable Shoutlet users to develop new, deeper, and longer-lasting relationships with their customers."

Prior to co-founding Money Network, Mark was Executive Vice President of the Americas for i2 Technologies, a Dallas-based enterprise software provider. During his seven years with i2, the company grew from $14 million in revenue to $1.1 billion. Prior to i2, Herrington spent eight years in sales and sales management positions with McCormick & Associates, American Software, and Oracle Corporation.
