Shoutlet Names Enterprise Software Veteran Mark Herrington Chief Executive Officer

MADISON, WI--(Marketwired - Sep 16, 2013) -  Shoutlet, the leading independent cloud-based social marketing platform, today announced it has named veteran enterprise software executive Mark Herrington as its new CEO. Mark boasts more than 20 years of senior software leadership experience, with a proven track record of leading innovation teams, steady and rapid organizational expansion, and driving companies to the forefront of their markets.

Prior to joining Shoutlet, Mark held several leadership positions with First Data Corporation, a global leader in electronic commerce and payment processing, most recently as the Executive Vice President of Global Product Management and Innovation. During his time at First Data Corporation, he led the company's efforts to build industry first solutions for mobile payments and ecommerce. He joined the company through the acquisition of Money Network, a company he co-founded in 2001, which provided an electronic payroll distribution solution. Under his leadership, Money Network expanded rapidly, experiencing a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of more than 80 percent since inception. The employee base grew as well, from three employees to more than 100 by the time it was acquired by First Data Corporation in 2008.

Prior to co-founding Money Network, Mark was Executive Vice President of the Americas for i2 Technologies, a Dallas-based enterprise software provider. During his seven years with i2, the company grew from $14 million in revenue to $1.1 billion. Prior to i2, Herrington spent eight years in sales and sales management positions with McCormick & Associates, American Software, and Oracle Corporation.
