When it comes to getting involved in the 2015 Scotiabank AIDS Walk for Life, Canadians can now donate and register in mere minutes.

The 2015 Scotiabank AIDS Walk for Life, taking place between September 12 and 20, 2015, is using state-of-the-art online registration and donation software, making it quick and easy to use, with the highest level of internet security.

To get started, donors and participants are asked to visit www.aidswalkforlife.ca to locate the nearest Walk in their community. With a click of a button, Canadians can then choose to donate or raise funds for the Walk. It takes only a few minutes to register for fundraising, and even less time to donate. The Walk's registration system can also be accessed through existing Facebook accounts using handheld devices, including tablets and smartphones.

The annual Scotiabank AIDS Walk for Life will take place in approximately 40 communities across the country and help participants show solidarity for over 71,000 Canadians living with HIV/AIDS. All proceeds from the Walk help support services for those living with, affected by, or at risk of contracting HIV/AIDS in communities nationwide.

"It's never been easier to get involved in the Scotiabank AIDS Walk for Life," said Monique Doolittle-Romas, Chief Executive Officer of the Canadian AIDS Society. "We hope to see more and more Canadians take advantage our state-of-the-art registration portal to show their support for the thousands of People Living with HIV/AIDS. It only takes a few short minutes to register or donate, but this small gesture goes a long way in making a lasting difference to Canadians whose lives are touched by HIV/AIDS."

On July 14th, the Scotiabank AIDS Walk for Life unveiled its theme for 2015: HIV Anonymous which invites PLWHIV/AIDS to talk about, in their own words, how stigma and discrimination have affected their lives. These stories will help educate others about the realities of living with HIV/ AIDS, and open a discussion about the effects of discrimination and the need for more support of the HIV/AIDS community in Canada.
