The Ontario Shrine Clubs announce their all-new family thrill show SPECTAC! 2015 will visit Ontario this summer from June 19-August 9 with 72 performances under the traditional Big Top.

The Shrine Circus is back! 72 performances have been scheduled this summer in Ontario between June 19 and August 9, 2015 under the traditional Big Top. This year's shows promise to break with tradition, while still maintaining the tradition of the family-oriented circus people of all ages look forward to watching.

"While SPECTAC! 2015 focuses on thrill and airborne acts, it also features a Carnavale of Circusdom with Erica Zerbini's perennial crowd pleasing Liberty Horses; as well as Zerbini's Asian elephant duo Marie and Shelly, who have been inseparable for 40 years," says Shrine Circus Media Relations Director, Cathy Sproule. "The big focus this year is on air time. Of note is the Colombian Cortes family, a legendary acrobatic troupe that goes back four generations, and whose version of the flying trapeze with four platforms and perches, sets a new benchmark."

The Shrine Circus is especially proud to welcome The World Famous Wallendas who are renowned for their Guinness Book of Records high wire crossings of Niagara Falls and the Grand Canyon.

"Last year, the World Famous Wallendas broke yet another world record in Chicago", says Shrine Circus General Manager, Larry Solheim. "Everyone knows that in the entertainment industry you're only as good as your next performance, which means Ontario is going to see some awesome stuff." Some of the families performing in Spectac! 2015 have been doing this for seven generations!

"We are families performing for families." says circus Director and Ringmaster, Richard Curtis. "My two daredevil sons, daughter and wife are in fact the Reel Steel Riders in the closing act, Motorcycle Globe of Fire. While warming up in Calgary recently, audiences gave them the encouragement they needed to perfect this nail biter of an act", beams Curtis.

Last year, elephants Marie and Shelly had a bit of trouble crossing the border, but Solheim confirmed that this year they have been cleared. The circus is very excited to have them back in the show.

"SPECTAC! 2015 lives up to its name." concludes Sproule. "We've got new acts - air and thrill acts and much more. It's the whole package, and it's all under the Big Top with the same 'families performing for families' tradition that we have celebrated for generations. Quite simply, it's spectacular."
