Shutter Classic's Basswood Plantation Shutters Featured in Ladies' Home Journal

WASHINGTON, DC -- (MARKET WIRE) -- March 21, 2007 -- Shutter Classic, an online retailer of custom shutters and wood blinds (, participated in a room makeover for Ladies' Home Journal's April issue, now available on newsstands.

In a collaborative effort with Ladies' Home Journal, Shutter Classic was consulted as to the best window covering solution for the home being remodeled in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Shutter Classic donated custom-made Basswood plantation shutters for the project. These custom shutters are made in Texas, from 100% North American hardwood, which is unique in the industry as many shutter manufacturers use wood or labor from China.

"We worked with the designers to select window coverings that would enhance their décor; this is a service we offer to all of our customers. It was rewarding to work with the professionals at Ladies' Home Journal and see our work in print," said Nathan Newton, owner of Shutter Classic.
