Sienna Signs 10 000 Meter Drilling Contract to Expand Mineralization at Callanquitas

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - Aug. 31, 2011) - Sienna Gold Inc. (TSX VENTURE:SGP) (BVLAC:SGP) is pleased to announce that a new drilling contract has been signed with AK Drilling in Peru for 10,000 meters to expand mineralization delineated in the 2010-2011 drilling campaign. The Company has presented documentation to extend the drilling permits required for this campaign. The Company expects to receive them by the end of September 2011.

As previously reported the Company already has in place a two year agreement with the community of Callanquitas which provides access to the target areas.

The cost for this campaign is estimated at $2,500,000 for a total of 10,000 meters. This program is a follow-up to the Company's 2010-11 campaign and will provide additional mineralization information between existing holes as well as stepping out to the south to test the limits of the structure as defined in a previous news release.
