Treatment Facility Continues to Enhance Staff With Addition of Rich Appert as Director of Intake

TUCSON, AZ--(Marketwired - Sep 16, 2014) - Sierra Tucson, an international leader in the treatment of complex, co-occurring behavioral health disorders, has announced the appointment of Jaime W. Vinck, MC, LPC, NCC, to the position of chief clinical officer. Rich Appert also joins the facility as director of intake.

Practicing psychotherapy in Arizona for more than ten years, Vinck is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Nationally Certified Counselor. Appert's experience in the behavioral health admissions has included management positions at Behavioral Health of the Palm Beaches and Seaside Palm Beach in Southern Florida. He has developed successful systems in admissions, alumni teams and insurance departments, and has collaborated with managed care companies to advocate for patients.

"Sierra Tucson has always strived to provide compassionate care and clinical excellence to our patients, and the addition of Jaime Vinck and Rich Appert will bring the type of knowledge base and experience that support our facility's goals," said Dr. Phil Herschman, executive director at Sierra Tucson. "Jaime's depth of experience in the field of addiction and knowledge from her own Equine Psychotherapy Program enhances Sierra Tucson's comprehension in this discipline. On the operational end, we look forward to bringing Rich's talents together with the Intake team and provide the best service to patients and families that have the courage to ask for help."

Before joining Sierra Tucson, Vinck's professional career included working with a variety of treatment programs serving as dual residential therapist, family education therapist, outpatient services director and corporate clinical director. She continues to teach in the Master of Counseling Program at Grand Canyon University as an adjunct faculty member.
