Sierra Tucson Honors Professionals at "Gratitude for Giving" Celebrations

South Florida and Phoenix Professionals Recognized by Prestigious Facility for Significant Contributions

TUCSON, AZ--(Marketwired - Dec 5, 2014) - Sierra Tucson, an international leader in the treatment of complex, co-occurring behavioral health disorders, today honors South Florida and Phoenix professionals for their years of giving to others in the community and making a difference in the world at two annual "Gratitude for Giving" celebrations. Both events occurred in their respective states and were attended by local professionals.

The below award winners were selected to receive recognition in the following categories:

  • Compassion Recognition -- honoring a professional in the medical community for his/her contributions to the wellness of others
    • South Florida honoree: Barbara Krantz DO, MS
    • Phoenix honoree: Carole Foster-Pitts, LCSW
  • Hope Recognition -- honoring a professional who has contributed to prevention and education
    • South Florida honoree: Brandi Rials PsyD
    • Phoenix honoree: Thelma Ross, CEO
  • Humility Recognition -- honoring a professional who has served as an advocate to others
    • South Florida honoree: Donald A. Blackwell Esq
    • Phoenix honoree: Bryon Sabatino, LC, MPC, LISAC
  • Spirit Recognition -- honoring a professional who has assisted clients in a specialty area such as eating disorders, chemical dependency, or mental health
    • South Florida honoree: John Jamieson LCSW, CST, CSAT-S, CSOTS
    • Phoenix honoree: Kim DiRe', LPC, MEd, SEP
  • Gratitude Recognition -- honoring a professional for Lifetime Achievement
    • South Florida honoree: Joan Magill PsyD
    • Phoenix honoree: Bruce Waldo, MPA
  • Vision Recognition -- honoring a professional who has contributed to the mental health community through vision and innovation
    • South Florida honoree: Andrew Burki MSW

The Florida event was held at The Ritz Carlton in Fort Lauderdale and was emceed by Alisa Fliss. The Arizona event was held at The Arizona Biltmore in Phoenix and was emceed by Chrissy Lamy.

Nominees for the awards were submitted online and the Sierra Tucson Awards Committee assessed all nominees before selecting the winners.
