Exclusively available through Signature Vacations, the latest property in the leading RIU Hotels & Resorts chain to undergo a contemporary refresh is the Riu Lupita. Located just two kilometres from the centre of Playa del Carmen and its famous Fifth Avenue shopping and dining district, the hotel (which has just re-opened its doors as a 24-hour all inclusive establishment for the first time) has undergone a complete renovation. Along with a restyled lobby, the bathrooms across the 300 rooms have been enlarged and completely reconfigured, replacing the bathtub with a comfortable walk-in shower.

Riu Lupita is the latest of three multi-million dollar hotel re-openings in the western Caribbean by RIU Hotels & Resorts in the past two months, joining Riu Playacar and Riu Negril to debut a modern re-design.
