PORTLAND OR/SEATTLE, WA - Nov. 15, 2005 - SignOn, Inc., a leader in American Sign Language interpreting, has launched a comprehensive Video Remote Interpreting (VRI) service providing Sign Language Interpreting for Deaf people throughout the United States and Canada.

SignOn's VRI service is an easy-to-use on-demand system that uses the latest Internet videoconferencing and web-based technologies to access sign language interpreting services without an interpreter present onsite. Instead of having an interpreter physically present with the Deaf and hearing parties, the interpreter is located at one of SignOn's offices and facilitates communication remotely via video.

Individuals, companies, hospitals, schools and state and federal agencies can now easily fulfill the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and No Child Left Behind by subscribing to SignOn's VRI service. This new interpreting service uses highly skilled interpreters, a scarce resource, and its efficiencies can actually save individuals and organizations money.

SignOn has developed an easy to set up process that does not require extensive technical knowledge. In the past, using videoconferencing technology was a technically complicated process. Users had to set up dedicated ISDN lines, configure routers and videoconferencing technology.

Presently, SignOn is using VRI to provide services to clients in schools, as well as organizations in both the public and private sector.
